Jesus Christ: |
Through him and in him--all things are
possible. We will always strive to "stay and do what Jesus
said and did". |
| 2 |
Worship: |
We exist to cause God Great Joy--our
commitment to the quality, vitality and importance of worship
will always show this. |
| 3 |
The Bible: |
Our "shop manual" on how to accomplish
everything in this Statement. We affirm the Bible as the true
Word of God. |
| 4 |
Our Faith: |
Our Presbyterian tradition calls us to the
proclamation of Gospel; the shelter, nurture, and spiritual
fellowship of the Children of God; the maintenance of divine
worship; the preservation of truth; the promotion of social
righteousness; and the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to
the world. We will do this with vibrancy, orderliness and
decency. |
| 5 |
Our Congregation: |
Our church is made from the Children of God.
Our ministries, mission and "church business" will reflect
this. |
| 6 |
Our Youth: |
We hold in trust the future of our
congregation, denomination, community and the world.
Our youth ministry will be inclusive, relevant,
biblically centered, maturity building and most of
all--fun--led by the greatest "joy giver"--Jesus. |
| 7 |
Our Leadership: |
We believe and affirm that our leadership will
possess the calling, godly character, integrity, and
relational skills to enact our vision and values. |
| 8 |
Evangelism & Growth: |
Growth is not optional. It is commanded by
Jesus. We exist to communicate the Word of God and share the
Gospel of eternal life to all. We will be visionary, vocal
persuasive missionaries of God. |
| 9 |
Education & Communication: |
Jesus is the first and best "Great
Communicator" and Educator. We will follow His lead in how we
share and provide information. We will be intentional in
creating opportunities for all to learn and understand the
meaning of Christ's word and mission. |
| 10 |
Stewardship: |
The Body of Christ grows through the exercise
of our many resources. We will not set limits on or for
ourselves in the following of God's call to ministry and
mission. |
